Hopefully, someone has a solution. I have two MiFi Liberate units on my accounta and while they work well and are reliable, tracking data usage on the is, at best, painful and only a ballpark guess.
Issues
- Data RARELY clears to zero on the first date of a billing cycle
- Data RARELY clears upon first or second usage in a billing cycle.
In sending that as a query to ATT support they responded with the below, which indicates that they do NOT understand that the MiFi cannot send text and therefore cannot receive the information as you would when sending the query from your phone. I, for one, have some expectation that ATT understands the devices they sell and allegedly support. This makes the ability to "guage" the usage on the MiFi almost impossible from the device, which is supposed to track data usage. The only way is to pull up the full account online and calculate the difference between what the MiFi reports and what the account says. This is useless and time consuming.
This is the response from ATT regarding the MiFi Liberate and asking to get accuate data usage. Problems:
- MiFi is NOT a smartphone - there is no app
- MiFi cannot send text message.
I am hoping that SOMEBODY has a recommendation/solution.
