Farewell A T & T. I really found out the real A T & T. After moving in my residence 5 yrs. ago, I selected A T & T for my internet, TV and Cell phone. After all, I had A T & T in my prior residence for 10 yrs and in my residence prior to that for 14 yrs. So why not choose a company I trusted? But now I’m severing ties. After paying my bill for 5 yrs without being late, I inadvertently paid my bill last month short 13 cents. Not $100, not $200 dollars but 13 cents. I was unaware and was probably distracted when I made my online payment. This is not my regular practice though. Not only do I pay the bill on time, I round up to the nearest dollar so I would have a credit every month that would go towards my next bill. For example, if the bill was $100.13, I would pay $101.00 even. This way I would not have to worry about change. Well needless to say, I short paid my last bill 13 cents. When I discovered it, I immediately paid the 13 cents but noticed that there was a penalty fee of $5.00. I truly understand this fee. After all, this is a business and fees somewhat thwart serial late paying customers and also keeps the company in the green. So I called the company and explained my dilemma and asked if they could reverse the fee. I have never been late and rarely call A T & T for issues. So when the rep who by the way was very pleasant, said he would send my issue to the manager to see what he/she would say, IT WAS DENIED You mean to tell me that A T & T collecting tens of thousands of dollars from me and all the other customers, would not credit me $5.00? Again, if I was a repeat offender, ABSOLUTLEY, I have to pay but a customer that doesn’t complain, pays the bills on time and have had A T & T for over 20 yrs. can’t get $5.00? What’s wrong with this picture? So with this said, I will be researching a new company and leaving A T & T. Thanks A T & T for allowing me to see the real company and how it seems like a show me the money or you get nothing company.
Thank you.
