Unauthorized payments

This is the second time I have received a text from AT&T with a bill pay confirmation, but I had not made a payment. The first time I called customer service and they told me that the authorization had been done thru my phone - except my phone had been locked in my office and unused during that time. They stopped the payment and returned payment charges (I didn't have the funds in my account) and told me to call my bank to cancel the charges. This time, I called customer service and sat on hold for nearly 30 min before I had to hang up. I am so frustrated. I am not signed up for auto pay and I cannot continue to face overdraft charges and returned payment fees when I am not responsible. What can I do to stop this glitch?
