My wife went in to get a new cell phone. She downgraded from unlimited to save money. And was told at the time that she could pay $50 a month for 4GB of data plus her NEXT installments and tax. Total was supposed to be about $80 after tax a month less a $15 discount from her work. Big savings! Happy day. Rep says we'll throw in this additions iPad mini for no additional service fee and 24 installments. Share the data between the two devices. Amazing! Circle back two years later and the next installment plan should be up on the iPad so I check with my wife about if her bill went down (she pays it on her own). She isn't sure so I look through her history and she's been charged an additional $50 a month for 2 years for the iPad service which she absolutely never used once! $1200 for absolutely nothing. I call customer service and the give me the run around about how a line would never be free and the data is on the iPad line blah blah blah. It's a total HS, since I sat across from this women and looked her in the eye and we went line by line and agreed on exactly what the final number would be after the next plan for the iPad was up. $80 until the iPhone next was up then only the service charge and the taxes. Anyway it was all a big lie and they just say whatever they can to get you to take these products home. Hope you don't look twice at your bill. I then ask them to close the iPad line and they agree after a long struggle to prevent me from doing that saying it wouldn't change anything etc. I don't need this extra line I don't want it, but low and behold they agree to close it. Annnnd of course we're still being charged on the next bill. So now we're taking $120 a month instead of $80 as agreed with absolutely no recourse. I've filled a complaint with the better business bureau and the federal trade commission but it will likely do little to help me. Their careless and indifferent and borderline criminal. So yeah what should I do?
