Question: Where is the forum for Land Lines?
TOPIC: HOW I RESOLVED A TERRIBLE triple collection agency mistake AT&T made (ruining my clean credit report
On this forum someone mentioned "Utility!" So I wrote a simple letter (with proof) to the PUCC (Pacific Utilities Commission)
I also wrote a very polite letter (with proof) to the President of AT&T in Texas at the corp office.
I also wrote to the DISTRICT ATTORNEY.
Well very shortly I got action. The President's staff in TX called me twice, apologized and asked what they could do for me. And made me promise to let them know if the collection agencies were not removed from my report and if I heard further from them. I am AMAZED and HAPPY! And it was so easy. (It was an identity thief who ordered a land line at their apt with my soc sec #.)
Then I got a very nice letter from the Distric Attorney asking if everything had been taken care of.
I think in the Internet Age that a businesslike snailmail letter is really given attention.
