AT&T 3 months ago offered me an unlimited plan to Retain my business and keep me as a customer. They then called today and said there employee forgot to tell me the strings attached. I had to buy their tv service or they would shut down my plan and put me on one that cost twice as much. I told them that their employee was acting as an agent of AT&T and within her authority therefore they cannot bait and switch me now becuauxe they failed to disclose the caveat. Simple contract law says there has to be a bargained for exchange for an agreement to be upheld: the bargained for exchanged is I would not cancel if they gave me the unlimited plan which they agreed. I gain no added benefit by purchasing their tv service yet they are forcing my hand or changing my plan proactively. I have been a customer for 10 years and this is why people hate wireless companies they say one thing and do another. They need to be held account able for their actions.
