Price increase in unlimited data plan

Hi,

I noticed my unlimited data plan went from $30 to $35 with no warning in January. I signed a renewal on my contract with the $30 price late last year. It's a two year renewal.

How is it possible for AT&T to unilaterally increase the price of the plan while I am under contract with them? While if I were to cancel I would have to pay the early termination fee. This not only doesn't seem right, it seems like it's a breach of contract.

When I called customer service they told me there is nothing they can do and for me to submit my complain online.

It seems like this impacted many customers since the agent told me the increase took effect in Feb. It seems like AT&T is just hoping no one will notice!?

Please revert back to the original price for those of us still under contract, for at least the length of the contract.

Thanks.

Edited: after researching this a bit looks like AT&T supposedly sent notification of this increase and offers 60 days to cancel with no etf. Still not the right thing to do to customers under contract.
