Yesterday I called ATT to make a plan change. As I also have Directv, the CSR I talked with offered me a plan and said I will getting a new tablet for free with the plan change. I specifically asked him whether there would be any extra charges or whether there would be a new contract? He flatly said no. But today, after checking emails I came to know that the tablet comes with a new 2-year agreement and there is a $10 monthly fee also for the 24 month period.
I called ATT to cancel the tablet order but they said it is already shipped and I can return it as soon as I receive it for no additional charges (not sure whether to believe this or not).
So what are my options here, if I return the tablet as soon as I receive it (either post it back or take it to the nearby ATT store) can I get out without any charges. Is there anyway to complaint to ATT about this behavior? Thanks.
