my 5C phone constantly disconnects from wi fi and uses data

I purchased an Apple 5C phone and after a year of not working properly, it was replaced with a refurbished one that I had to pay $100 also did not work and was again replaced with another refurbished one.  I've had so much trouble with my internet wi fi connections over the course of two years that I really believe all the technical support workers know me when I call.  I'm currently at a resort on vacation with three other people, all using various devices connecting to the wi fi here and my phone is the only one that will not connect to the internet.  If it does connect, I get knocked off randomly.  At times, I cannot even make a phone call to my home.  I'm irritated that I received an alert that I used more than 75% of my data and if I should go over before I return home from my vacation, I am not willing to pay for extra data.  I receive missed calls from people that when I return their call, claim they have never called me or know who I am.  My screen zooms by itself at times and then I cannot navigate until I shut down completely.  The phone sometimes doesn't take a charge unless I keep putting the charger in and out several times.  Half the time it doesn't ring and people tell me they cannot hear or understand me when I talk to them.  I have been an ATT customer for several years and have put up with a lot of problems.  Please advise.
