I saw the article about receiving unlimited data for getting DirecTV on Jan 16. I called and asked if this statement was legit. The rep told me yes it was. She never quoted any price difference other than the directv bill would be $50 mo for first year then goes up but I can call to lower. Throughout conversation I kept making sure I would receive the unlimited data just for signing up with directv. I was Always was told yes as soon as equipment is installed. Again never was quoted any prices or even a price change for monthly bill. I was lead to believe that for getting directv I would get unlimited data at no charge. Installation day came but no one showed. Called DirecTV for a few weeks on this matter and was told my ex husbands bill is linked to me from 15 yrs ago. So after getting frustrated with no options I went and PAID$135.00 just so I could get directv to get the unlimited data. Now I already had DISH installed for a few yrs and I didn't have to switch at all. I DIDNT have to pay the $135.00 from a bill my ex did 15 yrs ago after I left him. I had done ALL OF THIS for the unlimited data that was told I'd get and never told it would cost me any more. When I called after finally getting directv installed I was told that I was just eligible for the unlimited. I asked to speak with a supervisor and she told me that I was going to get what I was promised and no more was said. Again she didn't say it was going to cost me. After looking on AT&T app it was increased by $60-$70. Again called to get resolved but no one would listen to me even after I had asked them to listen to the audio recording that they make for quality assurance. Still have yet to hear back from them on that. I've been refused to get what they initially said I would get. I get excuses on that it was my misunderstanding when i repeatedly asked about the data, treated like I'm trying to get something for nothing, treated like I'm crazy and much more. I am so disgusted. Why would I or any other sane person go through all this nonsense to just be eligible. I wouldn't. I did all of it for the simple fact that I was told I'd get it without ever discussing with me any changes to my bill I am so sick of this and about ready to start calling a new station to investigate. Unless I start getting some help.
PS. And I do not want to hear about the hundred dollars Plus $40 for each smart phone. I've heard it over and over again. Doesn't mean a thing
