Yesterday, my son's phone (Iphone 4s) began to use unheard of amounts of data. Before we hit the point of overage charges, we turned off cellular data usage in the setttings.
A few hours later, I got notification that he had exceeded usage limits and we were being charged for overages. I panicked and turned the phone off entirely, not knowing the cause of the data usage, and I immediately contacted ATT via the customer support instant message window.
The support person tried to tell me this was all legit usage, even though I got 2g of usage during the hour I tried troubleshooting with the support person (PHONE OFF THE ENTIRE TIME.) Supposedly this was a "delay." Supposedly it was ALSO no longer using data.
Well, it's a little after 5am, and I woke to MANY MORE overage usage notices and now we're exceeding 6g of usage, and the phone has been powered off completely the entire time! I don't know what to do!! HELP!!!!
