Repeated billing error and month after month of time wasted calling to get it corrected...

 I signed up for AT&T in October of 2014 on the NEXT plan.  I financed my device at a cost of $24.17 a month for 24 months.  In July of 2015 I paid the device off in full (using a credit card). My next bill reflected the pay off of the device and everything was fine for a few months until I decided to combine my bill with my DirecTV account.  That's when the problems began.  The installment fees started to show back up on my monthly bills.  I've had to call in every month and have spent hours on the phone and have been repeatedly told that it was finally fixed.  I have internet chat logs confirming it as well.  I even received a phone call back just before Christmas from someone stating that it would no longer be an issue starting with my Janurary bill.  I thought for sure that this time it was a done deal.  Well my last bill came and AGAIN I am being billed for installment 16 of 24 for a phone I paid off in July of 2015.  Any suggestions on how to get this resolved?  I'm extremely frustrated at the though of calling in every month and having to start from scratch explaining the billing issue.  Thank you.
