I recently bought my daughter a new phone and requested the shortest payment option and nothing further. I told the assocoate at the att store that was all I wanted and paid the sales tax up front.
I just received my bill and they added on insurance and protection pack without my consent. After waiting on hold for 30 minutes and having to clear this up, she tells me i have insurance on another line from a year ago. i contact my other daughter who bought that phone and she stated she did not take the insurance or protection pack. i have been paying for over a year and had no idea. All they did was credit me 3 months.
After telling this to a co worker, same thing happened to her daughter. I think they automaticly do this and if you dont catch it its more money for them. Totally unacceptable practice.
