Ok so I've had the biggest run around with these people I have no idea why they're are selling AT&T products and services if they don't know what they are selling. So I go in for a simple upgrade on my phone and get 10 GB of data. They told me that my bill would come out to $130 with taxes and fees using next for an iPhone 5c, my phone and the 10GB of data with unlimited talk and text; they also said i would only pay for 18 month of $21.16 for the phone and then after the phone is mine and I my bill would no longer carry that $21.16. I agreed because i specifically told the guy ok as long as my bill is not over $140 than I'll do it. So I do it and surprise surprise I get my bill and it is $144.
So I go back and speak to the assistant manager to just return the phone because then that would mean my bill would go down $21.16. And as he's doing the return process he said I was wrong and "tries" to explain to me that I would no be saving that much money and that my bill would only drop down to $130. I was thinking about it and based on what he said, coming from the assistant manager, i thought he knew what he was talking about. He tells me that infact im only paying $14 for the phone and that over 26 months that would be $364. It didnt seem that bad because i could go else where and get the same phone for 300, so i agreed to take it back.
I go back home to do the calculations and it turns out that i was infact right that i would be saving $21 dollars a month if i return the phone which becomes $546 over 26 months. Now in math a 10% error and below in acceptable but this was a 33% error on his part [ (|364-546|/546) * 100)]. Now I'm extremely upset because once again I was mislead with false information. And not once when they were "explaining" to me did they bring my bill up on the computers or iPads that they have. So because they lied to me i attempted to return the phone and they said they could not do that. They gave me their what i believe is the district managers email but i need the resolved ASAP because i also bought apple care on March 9th which only gives me 13 days left to return it. These sales representitives at the store need to back to AT&T school because I've never had a problem with someone over the phone. They need to learn how to tell people how things are going to be straight up.
