Hi- I have a household with two IPhone 5s phones that will complete its contract May 15th or so of 2016. The phones are in great shape and we are not in need of upgrades in the foreseeable future.
We have also recently had overages of multiple GB in usage on our combined 6GB plan and I am wondering about switching to a MobileShareValue 15 GB plan.
The cell phone comparison site WhistleOut.com lists a MobileShareValue 15 GB plan for $130 at ATT that includes a $100 monthly charge for Unlimited Talk and Text and the 15 GB, plus a $15 per device (times 2) to total $130.
On the ATT website, this pricing is similar for the 15 GB ($100) but the device access charge has a footnote saying: "If you are on a 2-year Agreement your monthly access charge will be $15 to $40 based on your plan."
The total that the ATT website shows for this plan when I am logged in is $180/month based on two $40/month device access charges. As I am still under the contract, I understand why this would happen until the contract is up because I purchased a subsidized phone.
HERE IS MY QUESTION: If we switch to MobileShareValue 15 GB now, will our monthly device access charge drop from $40/month per device to $15/month per device when we finish our contract?
