Your cell phone bill

I have been a costumer to AT&T for at least 15 years as of today witht he experience that i went through with them it will be my last day. I am switching to Verizon.  I do understand that my bill gets past due and i do pay my bill or have the dignity to call to make payment arrangements. however today they didn't give me that opportunity. they just turned my phones off..I am done and no more of this trouble with my cell phone. I talk to Verizon and they have helped me more today that at&t has in years.
