Bad tactics to collect extra money off leaving customers

My husband took a job out of country, went to Att store to find out what cancellation options are.  Both CSR and att rep told us to simply place the line on suspension @ 10 per month fee because it was much cheaper than canceling!  Well 4 months prior to end of contract our bill jumped from 10 to 100.  I called to find out that they claimed to have changed their suspension policy that limits the suspension to 6 months!  We should have paid the cancellation fee a while back!  We brought the bill down to what we were told was the cheapest plan and it was still cheaper than canceling.  We paid a bill at the higher amount so a credit on the bill was to be entered leaving a two month credit on the account.  Last month the credit still had not made it and they tacked on a 40$ reinstatement fee???  Then 15 days before contract is up we get another 95$ early term fee!!!  No one will help me or even look into to help!  I plan to contact BBB to report these cheap attempts to collect every last dollar they can!
