I have had a problem with Auto pay now for about 4 months. It all started when I made a mistake in my checking account and my payment got returned, yes this was my fault but, in my defense I had been a customer for 2 years and this is the first time anything like this happened. Since then it has been a nightmare!! I had to change my checking account because my account got hacked. I called and told ATT this and tried to change my autopayment method to my checking account since I no longer have a debit card. I was told everything was all set and a few days later my service was suspended. Again I told the representative that I did not have a debit card any longer and needed to change my payment option to my checking account. I was told again that it was all set. Then I get this letter in the mail saying that they could not keep me on autopay because they could not get permission from my credit card company to process my payment, again I do not have a debit card anymore. The next morning I tried to make a phone call and my service was suspended again, THE NEXT DAY. I called again and the representative told me that I am not allowed to have a checking account as my method of payment, although she could not tell me why. When I asked to talk to a supervisor I was told they are all in a meeting, but if you give me you phone number I can have her call you back. That was 2 weeks ago and still no return call. I know ATT is going to try to charge the debit card that I no longer have again this month I am just waiting for it to happen. The website tells me I can not de-enroll from autopay although I get letters saying that if I want to be on autopay let them know. All I know is right now I am so frustrated with ATT that I can not wait until my contracts are up so I can change carriers
