have since written a letter to a local news station and do not plan on stopping there. I plan to write the FCC and BBB if this is not resolved in a timely manner. I know these things can get taken care of in a matter of days. It is just a matter of who wants to take responsibility for having changed it and who wants to take responsibility for changing my unlimited plan back to the way it was. I had to change phones because of a personal security issue. I was told bybseveral representatives in and out of store that buying an At&t phone elswwhere and changing it to a differwnt # would NOT affect my unlimited with tethering plan. Once i made the switch the different phone had unlimited data but the teathering was dropped automatically. When I called about that and a phone # change the second time. The whole data was dropped and only dials out but doesn't text or have data despite the fact it says 3G etx. On the plan that supposed to be Smart choice unlimited for $30. I have a long list of complaint #'s and phone calls I have placed to At&t. Long story short I have been given multiple reasons why my account was changed to a different plan. 1. That it is no longer available (despite the fact I was using it for the past 8 months and have it on my other line currently ) 2. That the change of equipment is old and not compatible (despite the fact that it is a far better phone than the other phone on the other line) 3. That I can't have it back and need to select a new plan (basically trying to coax or bully me. They have actually let the phone dial and receive calls, but have cut all data until I chose a new plan. I was tethering just a few weeks ago. I was assured from several representatives that it was still on unlimited despite the fact I was getting text overage warnings. They also assured me that all that would be waived and that my plan would return because that's what I had before. Now looking at the bill things have been all moved around and jumbled with fees and credits making it near impossible to understand. It also leaves out the fact that my "new" phone number had to be changed twice because it kept getting leaked. I was told they had checked with multiple sources etc. On getting it changed but that they couldn't figure it out. It seems to me that it all started when the phone # changed so how can I have someone see if changing it back to original phone number and even original phone if necessary will help put everything back the way it was a month ago. I have been calling almost every other day for the past month on this! Thank you
