Why do At&T retention representatives lie and make false promises and never do what they claim to do? I was supposed to get a 5gb upgrade of our family plan from 15gb to 20gb and the representative on the phone just lied to not let me cancel and never changed the plan like he promised, I now find online thousands of other uses claiming at&t retention reps lie routinely to customer. I have spent <2 hours with the CSR only to have been made false promises, life would be easier if your company is honest and keeps their world, really makes me want to take our 4 lines and 10 years of service elsewhere after this experience.
I called for 2 issues initially, the first one being the in store rep added international roaming as a recurring cost instead of a one time cost like we asked and the second issue being where I called to cancel an iPad line and the representative never canceled it but lied, after a 3rd call to at&t, the rep apologize and said he will upgrade my plan to the 20gb family plan for free. Of course, I did not receive the refund for the recurring international data roaming and the claim of a "free upgrade" to 20gb mobile family share plan was also not true. Please advise who I can bring this complaint to?
