Temp suspension enabled after contract ends

Dear Team - my contract end date was Dec 2014 and put my plan in temp suspension mode as per the call center associate.

The service has been enabled automatically after dec 2014 and been charged for 3 months Jan - Mar 2015 where i was out of united states after July 2014.

I have called ATT customer care many time and explained the situation but they couldnt \ wouldnt want help me on this.

Is there a way to work on tihs and solve this problem.

note : I did trash the ATT SIM knowing that i will not be using the service atleast for an year from July 2015.
