In short, we have a problem where my company is getting collection calls from an ex-employees personal AT&T cellular account.

A "Mr. B" had a personal cellular account setup under his social security number. As part of his employment, the company had offered to pay the cellular bill for one of our old managers (Mr. B) during the course of his employment. He then added the company name as the billing contact and the company payed the bill during his employment. Mr B proceeded to add his family and even friends to the account, he even offered to add my phone number to the account.

A few years later, Mr. B was fired from the company. In the months following his expulsion, the company made many attempts to be removed as the billing contact.. however access was never granted because Mr. B was the owner and had locked it down. Essentually he was trying to force the company to continue paying his bill.

The company continued to refuse to pay the bill and by the time the account went into default, the bill was over $4000!  After 6 months of battling with collections and after faxing multiple letters, the company continues to be the target of the collections agency. They have made no attempt to collect from the account owner Mr. B.

To me this doesn't seem right, and we will continue to fight it out of principal. Thank you for any feedback or support.
