We checked our data useage at 11:10pm on the last night of the billing period and were a little more than 1 Gb below our limit. Our bill stated that we were a little more than 200 mb over. We were charged $15 for the additional Gb.
When I called and talked to Ken on 7-25-15, who was realy very nice, he told me that our device could still use data unless we turn it off while sleeping. This is indeed something to think about.
I also asked Ken if the remaining unused Gb that we were charged for rolled over into the next month since I didn't see it on my useage reports. He said that it did not. Ken was very discreet and was only the messenger.
It might be less confusing to a customer for AT&T to not state in their data text messages that they will add a Gb for $15. It might be clearer to state that the overage useage up to 1 Gb will be charged $15 and up to 2 Gb $30 etc.
We realize that we should pay for our useage. We would only like to help make the policy a little clearer for the customers. We've been loyal AT&T customers for years and plan to continue to refer freinds to them and rate AT&T "10"
