Last month, I made several international calls from US for 23 minutes in total. And when I received the billing, I was shocked since AT&T charged me $80.27!! More than $3 for a minute!! It's more than twice as the monthly bill!
One of my friends who had same situation told me to argue. She used to successfully add a package and waived many of the charge. So I contacted customer service online. The result was, my kindly customer service, Rex-A, tried her/his best to give me a $25 credit for next billing circle. The failure of adding a package was because that billing circle was a vaild one, according to Rex-A. However, even with the credit, the rest is still exaggerate. And by the way, there was no notice or message when or after I made those calls.
I would like to pay part of the fee since I did make those calls and failed to add a package in advance, but I also expect more credit back. Otherwise I will consider changing to other carriers (as far as I know, even without any package, T-mobile charges only $1.99 for int'l calls from US to where I want to call), because this may happen occasionally in the future while I don't want pay for a extra package every month since I'm not regularly calling internationally.
I always have a good time with AT&T, I wish this time won't ruin our relationship. Hope to receive a perfect solution from anyone who concerns.
Thank you.
