I've been a customer for 15+years and I am about to leave...

To whom it may concern,

I recently needed to upgrade my wife's phone while out of town in Jacksonville, FL.  Her phone stopped working and we were ready for an "upgrade".  We went into an AT&T store there and the employees were nice. They told me about "this great offer, right now... a Galaxy S6 and a free tablet for about $100.00"  I was sceptical.  I have always paid between $100 and $200 dollars for an upgrade.  More money for more phone.  I specifically asked if this would do any of the following:

1. change my current plan.

2. cost me more money on my monthly bill

3. would the tablet have any additional costs or fees.

...to which all were answered "No".

THIS WAS A LIE.  ALL OF IT!  My monthly bill hit on June 21st, 2015 and was over twice my normal amount.  There was a fee for the tablet AND they added another line for it WITHOUT my consent.  Further more, there was an addition fee for the S6 phone that was not authorized.  $27 a month for the next 30+ months!!!!!!! Thats almost $800 dollars!!!!

This is unacceptable!  I called the customer care line and after speeking to a MANAGER, it was told to me that they were sorry but there is nothing further they can do.  They did wave the tablet fee and some of the other unauthorized fees.  But there was nothing they could do about the $27 for 30 month fee.  Had I been informed up front, we would have chosen a more cost effective phone for my wife, but the point is- IT WOULD HAVE BEEN MY CHOICE!  A choice that was taken away from me.  I have explained to everyone that I have spoken with that I am outraged by this.  I will not do business with a company that does not correct their mistakes.  I have been a customer for a long time and I am 39 years old- which means I will be doing much more business with someone in the future.  Who is that gonna be??  AT&T or the competition... the choice is yours.  I am at the end of my rope.
