I recently have grown tired of my Windows phone. Love the 1020 camera, not enjoying seeing my used apps dissapear. Anywho, I go into a AT&T store to pay off the trade-in balance and am told I need to either go online or call 611 to have the combined account fixed so I can do so and told they can do nothing more in the store. Fine. The next day, I go online and am able to pay my trade-in balance with my credit card and am prompted to go and shop for my next phone. So go so far. Order the phone, sent a email confirming my trade-in balance is paid with a confirmation number. Good day indeed.
Day 2, on my way to work I recieve a text message saying my line is not upgradable and my order has been canceled. I call 611 and talk to the first rep and he states he needs to work with the U-Verse side of the AT&T world because due to us having a combined account, the payment went to them rather than the wireless side of the AT&T world and he would call me back in about 15 minutes. 3 hours later I initiate a call and am told they will need to uncombine my accounts to get htis corrected. Oh, and due to you are a Illinois residence, you will not have the ability to recombine your accounts once that happens and you could lose your bundled discount. Happy I am not. The term good-bye AT&T wireless and U-Verse and hello ANYONE else...
My family and I spend $400 a month for these services, yes, that is a lot and I could probably do better. I'm looking for a different yard with a different grass.
