How does one actually make a complaint on AT&T. I keep reading how wonderful they are but in the last two days this has not been my experience. Lack of understanding in a Major Family crisis and unhelpful has left me at a loss. A Manager who after two days and 6 hours is less than understand, hangs up on a customer who has in the last two day had 6 hours of patience with AT&T. I am amazed an seriously disappointed.
Having to return to England suddenly because a 96 year old Father in Law has fallen ill, and having spent 4 hours on the phone to AT&T yesterday and then another 2 hours on the phone today. Find that having been told this was not and issue, because a major problem. Obviously termination fee, for a line that was not going to be terminated was more of an issue. The suspension put in place would extend way past the contract end date, but AT&T did not chose to be helpful.
Speaking to their Manager Jerry Root whose high handed manner was not even close to understanding the pressure experienced in this sort of situation, I hope he never finds himself in this situation. Help and sympathey do not enter into it.
I am totally at a loss to understand what business decision this lack of service has promoted. The "1st line ladies" although they experience great difficultly with their system where polite and tried their best. After that I am at a loss and sadly very disappointed in what up until now had been my phone company of choice.
Who knew getting ones phone unlocked could end up as such a nightmare. When one had asked the question and followed the instruction and offered to pay the termination fee at the start. But was told it would not be an issue under the circumstances.
Sorry AT&T you have sadly disappointed a long time customer.
