Hi,
I right now hate ATT to the guts.
This is the 3rd or 4th time I have to spend upto an hour on my vacation to call ATT with an international call and tell them I have always requested international roaming/calling to be blocked, since I always use local phones.
Today I got a message on my wife's phone line - *** - saying the international roaming charges had exceeded $100.b
Why were these features enabled at all when I didnt ask for them?
I have had ATT for last 8 yrs and have never used international dialing/roaming from within US or outside US intentionally. However, I have had these incidents occur repeatedly where I get these charges.
From today's call to ATT's international package support line, I was told that these charges can be reduced to $5 from $100. My question is why should I pay a dime for something I didnt ask for.
This is a 2nd bad experience with ATT in a month. ( The other issue was they didnt allow me to unlock my phone for international use even though I am under contract and have to pay my bills anyways. There is no logic to this policy)
Once my time is up in March, I am happily marching my way to Verizon.
So long,
