Customer Service

Aug. 19th, 2013, I called AT&T to pay my bill. I was told by the automated service that I did not have a bill and that I actually had a $75 credit on my account. Puzzled, I hit "0" to speak with a customer service rep and I got a lovely lady to answer. She pulled up my account to verify the information. She said " Yes ma'am I see that you have a credit of $75 and there is no bill due at this time. When your new bill comes out it will be your normal bill amount minus the $75 credit." I asked her again to double check! She confirmed a second time the information. I was excited!! I called back today Aug. 31, 2013 to pay my bill. I was told by the customer service rep that I owed $251.17 and half of that was past due! I explained what I was told on the 19th and he proceeded to tell me I was wrong and misinformed! He then started to raise his voice to me and tell me he wasn't going to fix the mistake. I asked for a supervisor. When he got on the phone it was more yelling and telling me I was wrong and that there wasn't a mistake and he wasn't going to fix the problem! He kept telling me that there was no credit in the notes and if it wasn't there it didn't exist! I have been a customer of AT&T for over 6 years and I have never been spoken to that way. I have also never called AT&T and been told that they will not stand behind their word and fix a problem to make me (the customer) happy! As soon as my contract runs out or maybe even sooner, I will no longer be an AT&T customer. AT&T has the absolute worst customer service ever.
