payment plan option

If a customer knows already that they will not be able to make a full payment on my next bill, or the the balance which stands, what kind of payment options does the customer have. Does AT&T already have certain payment plans, or is AT&T willing to negotiate a way for the customer to make payments, and reason with the dilemma of them not being able to make the full payment, on time without any suspension of service?
