Extremely Frustrated Customer! (regarding Next device)

I received my NEXT device from Apple 3 months ago. To this day I have not paid AT&T a penny for my device. When I go into my account it is showing my NEXT device as pending. I called/chatted many times and have been given 2 - 3 deadlines that have passed already. I've been told it's being escalated but there is never an update. 

 

The reason I want it to show up is so I can pay it off. I had ordered it as a NEXT device because the unlocked Tmo version was hard to find when I ordered, so I ordered through next with the intention of paying it off. Here we are over 3 months in and I still owe the full price.

 

I need to get this phone paid off and unlocked and am being told there's nothing I can do except wait while the elusive "back office" researches my problem. They won't take my money. I don't know where to go from here. I was originally told 48 hours max, then 2 more days, now it's "sorry, we have no time frame". 

 

The only way I can pay this off and unlock it is to cancel my account and this takes 30 days after my close date before I can even pay it off and then get it unlocked.

 

I'm saying ATT take my money and they won't.
