Billing issue with combined billing and who to talk to about

First  I thought AT&T was one company not 3 or 4 differnt companies?

 

Now I do not know who to talk to about combined billing but they are the ones who got my entire account screwed up.  I had DSL and my wireless account combined so it would be easier for me to pay on.

 

Nov 11 2014 i called to cancel my DSL cause I had issures for 2 years that I could not get ATT to fix.

 

Fast forward to Dec 12 I went online to pay my bill.  They had delete my combined billing account but I was able to make a payment on my Wireless account so I did. Which was $299.36

 

Fast forward to Dec 23 i reacive a bill from ATT for my combine billing saying I owe $319.16.  The bill was dated Dec 14 and said I had till Jan 3 2015 to pay on it.  So I decied to wait after Chirstmas to call them.

 

Dec 26 I get a letter from a collection agency saying I owe $353.36.  It was dated Dec 16.  Funny ATT had already refer it to collections before the due date.  Their excuse was cause it was a closed account.  I spent 5 hours on the phone to try and fix their mistake as I only owe $19.80 which I paid that day plus a stuipd $5 processing fee for my payment over the phone. The last 2 people I spoke with had sorta fixed it. The person on the Combine billing side said that the wireless people need to transfer the funds to them so they can correct the error.

 

Thought we got this fix boy was I wrong.    

 

Jan 1 2015 I receive a email from ATT wireless saying my account is PAST DUE. Apparently since they gave that payment to the combined billing dept(?)  then say I still owe for the Nov 5 to the Dec 5 billing cycle when I already paid.  I called ATT wireless and try to get it straighten out.   At first I spoke with 2 cs reps in which after speaking to the seconded one I ask to speak to some one in management.  They listen to me this time.  Last time they wouldn't let me speak to anyone in management.  I think he finally see what the issue is and he tried to get in touch with some one on the other side of the company which apparently was not working today.  One of his co-supervisor is suppose to call me tomorrow Friday Jan 2.  I am not counting on them fixing this issue but we will see. 

 

Warning to anyone that has combined billing.  Uncombined your accounts before you cancel something.
