involuntarily disconnect want to reactivate

I received a bill that was high because a phone insurance claim was added to it.. I was involuntarily disconnected. While trying to pay I lost my job. My bill is now 1,500 something. I have made a 90 dollar payment trying to pay the 690 that my bill was perform et f's and next was added. I understand that there is a 50 some day reconnect once the bill is paid. It has been longer then 50 some days since I was billed because of my work situation. Is there anything I can do to lower the amount of the bill. I enjoy being a att customer and would like to stay one if possible.
