We are furious. AT&T, in an effort to prevent my wife and I from moving 2 wireless numbers to a competitor offered a rate change and to permit us to upgrade to a newer phone 10 months before the contract date. A couple of weeks later we attempted to take advantage of this and they flat out refused. How do you go back on a written promise?
After 20 years we are not only taking the 2 lines elsewhere, we are also taking 5 wireless numbers and 2 personal and business landlines to that competitor. This is no way to treat a customer.
