I have 3 lines of service on my account. My billing cycle runs from the 18th-17th. This past Monday, one of the lines on my account ported to a different carrier. I open my bill this morning, which we're billed in advance for, and I am still being charged for their monthly line of service. I call to ATT customer care to inquire why I'm billed a whole month in advance instead of a prorated charge and she just stated that it was policy and that the number had to be ported out before the start of my bill cycle. I am not understanding this. The line of service was not in a contract. Why pay a whole month of service when there is no line on the account? That is my question.
