I've been a loyal customer for a long time, and I have numerous of my friends switch to AT&T for the past years. I have mobile share plan and I was getting the $25 discount on 10GB or more.
Recently I changed to iPhone 6. I chatted and the agent told me the rate will not change. He told me about the Next Program and if I do that, the rate would change, but upgrading 2 year contract wouldn't affect my rates. Also I didn't ask further because I upgraded few years back and my rate wasn't affecte. So I upgraded to the new iPhone 6 with 2 year contract, paying $200 at Walmart.
Few days ago I got my bill and realized that the $25 discount I used to get is now gone so I need to pay extra $25 for the next 20 months. I called and specifically told them ATT agent told me the rate wasn't going to change. They told me that was wrong, so they tried to change me to Next program, which they cannot do because I purchased the phone from Wal-mart and the return policy day have passed. ATT said I should have gotten a text about the changing rate but I never did. They told me they can't do anything about it. Now I'm mad because I first changed the phone confirming that the rate would not change. I also added my friend on my mobile share few days after I got the phone, the same way, and now she sufferes the same thing. I cannot pay extra $25 every month from now on... I called many times, but no one is willing to understand what situation I am in.
What should I do....
