Victim of fraud.........And I believe it was AT & T.

We received phone calls from AT & T stating that our account had been hacked and that they were taking care of everything.  I then noticed that my payment amount changed (less) and my due date.  It looked as if my installment plans and current months bill had been payed.  The installment plans were paid with one credit card and the monthly bill with another credit card.  20 days later (20!!!!) they tell me my account was a fraud case.  The thing I can't understand is that 20 days later AT & T picked and choosed what was paid for and what was not.  As of right now the payment plans are paid off.  I'm sure if I don't do a next program soon those will be added back on as my monthly bill was but no one can tell me how a credit card company/bank denies a charge that clearly went through 20 days before.  Unless AT & T is the card holder????  I will be looking more into this and contacting the Better Buisness Bureau but if anyone else has been the victim of the same/like thing I would like to here your story.
