ATT Billing Strikes Again

Just spent an hour on the phone wiht no less than 4 different representatives trying to understand where I go to view my bills.

First a bit of history, I was an ATT/Directv customer that opted for the "unified" billing and the $10 monthly discount back in August. It took me until November to get it all straightened out after incidents of double billing, incorrect charges and a unwarranted termination of my Directv service. I take pride in paying my bills on time and actually a week ahead of time but apparently that wasn't good enough for ATT. Only because they hadn't gotten their billing processes organized and properly merged between ATT and Directv before offering unified billing.

So I cancelled ATT wireless early December (I still had some faith in Directv, some of the greatest customer service I have ever experienced) and moved to the #1 service (Consumer Reports, JD Powers, etc) rated Consumer Cellular. I continued with Directv and paying my bills for the last 3 months (billing cycles)

I just paid my most recent bill Monday to ATT (easily a full week before the due date) and went online to ATT to find nothing about my payments or billing history. I went to Directv and it indicated I had a balance due in two weeks for the next month of service. Neither Directv nor ATT had anyplace where I could look at my current or past bills. They all just vanished.

So now I am having to wait a week for ATT and Directv to send me hard copies of the bill (current and last months) so that I can see what I am actually being billed for that is due in two weeks. My prior bill due date up till today was usually around the 29th of each month. So I do not know what changed to have my billing date suddenly accelerated by 2 weeks without any communication to me.about this change.

Long story short, I am amazed ATT is making any money at all given their horrible customer service (and has been for at least the last 3 or 4 years) and totally in effective and inaccurate billing processes. I see this now starting to infect Directv and it makes me sad to see Directv get ruined like that
