ATT Warranty Phone Lost in the Mail

Over 8 hours with 6 different representatives and still they keep extending the convos and days like I will give in and pay 1000.00 dollars for my bill. Why is it that the warranty instructions that come in the box with the new phone say "Just place the label on the box and drop off at the nearest drop box" then ATT asks "Do you have a drop off receipt?" Um hello, drop boxes dont provide receipts! The box shows delivered by USPS but the warranty company says they havent received it, but Im still liable for the charges? What did I do wrong? I boxed the (only one month old new phone) that was dead, placed the label, and dropped it off at the closest drop box, exactly as the instructions stated. What else could I have possibly done to make sure it got delivered? Why am I liable if USPS lost it? 20 days straight and many hours with ATT and nothing gets moved forward, just the old "Let me check on that and Ill get back with you" trick. This constant back and forth calls with them and nothing being done is over tomorrow. If I get a call tomorrow with still nothing done, it will be their loss. I aint paying a dime and switching to Sprint. Keep the bill
