I have been a loyal ATT wireless customer for well over 10 years -- got the first iPhone with them and have stayed and added two more lines over the years. I had a 5 year old iPhone 4 that was working fine and honestly, I hate going into the ATT store more than going to the dentist for a filling. It always takes over an hour and is a constant sales pitch. I am in sales so I have no tolerance for the insincere, disingenuine pitches at the company stores. I thought I was in heaven when I found out that Best Buy not only sells the iPhone 6S but also has a deal with Apple to purchase Apple Care and have it serviced at a Best Buy. I upgraded all 3 iPhones -- at 3 different Best Buys, in 3 different states (since my children attend college out of state). I did it all in the past month. At each Best Buy, I was told, I would keep my same plan (I was grandfathered) and would be charged $31.25 a month extra per phone, BUT I would get a $25 discount per month, per phone, so my bill would only go up $6.25 a month. Well great. I'm a smart, college educated person, so I asked many times to multiple sales people at each of the Best Buys (in Penn., Mass., and NC). I was told unequivocally by EVERY single sales person that it's a great deal and who can resist the $25 a month discount. Well my monthly bill is usually $169 for 3 lines and 10 GB of data. My bill came and it is $301. They never told me about the $15 ONE-Time charges on each phone, so there's $45, but I can live with that. It's that they ARE NOT discounting the equipment purchase. They basically charged me more for my "service" and then discounted that. So now I'm on the hook for $31.25 x 3 per month more for the next 24 months. This is a complete bait and switch, a complete misrepresentation and/or training of Best Buy personnel by ATT. I am disgusted. I've already filed a complaint on the Mass. Attorney General's site and now I am going to do whatever I can to get out of this contract and never use ATT again. They know this is happening. I googled and found complaints over a year old. I trusted ATT and Best Buy and did not ever think they would do a full-blown SCAM to a loyal customer. Disgusted, discouraged and displeased with both these companies.
