First off, to finally navigate to this page to be able to "Contact Us" to communicate my written dissatisfaction with AT&T, took more sleuthing, time & effort than it is almost worth, but let it show for the record, just how disgusted I am with "the mega giant of telecommunications"... that I am actually taking time out of my precious Sunday afternoon to write this. (Having already spent almost an hour airing my complaint verbally to one of your CS phone reps about a week ago, to avail, I have very little faith that this written complaint will yield any different result, but I will satisfy myself that I will have communicated explicitly why, as soon as my forced contract terminates, I will cease doing any business with AT&T in the future, and will immediately be very vocal with friends, family, & co-workers as to why I suggest they go with any other provider but you.
Why will I be switching? Over this summer past summer, you solicited me to switch from Verizon. I'm a pretty decent sized contract for you: 3 brand new iPhones that I'm paying up the wazoo for; 20GB data plan; plus an AT&T UVerse with the 450 plan + Internet service. So, basically, I went all in. As incentive, you promised me $200. credit per phone, which I have STILL yet to see fully reflected on my bills!! And now you're offering $500! per phone in email an email promo that you've sent to M, saying you've upped the anté to, now, $500. (!) per phone trade in.
So you actually send me this other new amazing $500. offer, over twice better than the one you gave me, to be a "loyal" customer. I respond to your email, ask for some consideration to give me the same offer you're now giving the rest of the world, (or even at least meet me in the middle) & I get "sorry m'am, no can do."
Really?! This is how you reward my loyalty to have switched everything over to AT&T? I pay hundreds of $$ every month to AT&T, but now that you've got me ball&chained into a 2+year contract, you can't renegotiate it to simply give me what you're now offering every other prospective client. Then take me off your flipping email list! If you send me a personal email with an offer, I expect it to be honored.
Nope, not a happy customer, and nope, will not be recommending you to friends or coworkers. Too many other choices out there.
Should you find my dissatisfaction has merit, I will quite willingly accept an outreach to discuss renegotiating my contract to be as fair to me as you're now offering everyone else. THAT is how you build customer loyalty.
Otherwise you'll begrudgingly have me for my forced 2-yrs, & then I'll move on.
Sincerely,
Wendy Warren
