I left AT&T for Verizon because of better coverage in our home town. I got the new service at Costco on May 20 and was contacted by ATT befire any cancellation was processed and while I was still in the store. They offered me rate cuts to stay with ATT but I wanted the better coverage. My billing cycle starts on the 6th of each month. This morning I got a text that ATT had pulled another full month's bill out of my account. In speaking with customer support, they said that I needed to leave on the 6th to avoid the extra month's billing. I left 16 days earlier. How is this possible? The people I spoke to at ATT prior to my leaving made no mention of this billing quirk. How can I get my money back?
