I just spent 2 hours on the phone with 5 different representatives. Because of a billing error (getting double billed on paid off phones) I cannot request an unlock on an old phone because the system says I am past due (even though 4 of the representatives agreed that I am current).
My friend is leaving to europe and I wanted to give him an unlocked iphone5. Any way around this ridiculous restriction?
There is a case open that they said would be resolved long after he leaves. I have unlocked phones before without issue but is there any way to get around this?
