Complaint about bill

Last month I had my only two lines upgraded to the new iPhone 6. While we were there we asked a lot of questions about the costs because we are on a budget and he assured us it wouldn't be over a certain amount. I was about to pay the bill today and it's about 40 dollars more than expected. When you ask someone how much it will be monthly that should include everything. I spoke to someone but they didn't do much more than apologize for the misquote. Is there anything I can do to fix this or should I just switch carriers?
