I guess all carriers are the same. You sign up for a plan and then you add this and that. Plus God forbid you lose your phone or drop it while boarding a boat and it sinks! Insurance plus data and overages plus activation fees of 35 bucks just to use a phone sold to work only on their system. Taxes and fees and charges that don't make sense. It's a total rip off. I Got AT&T thinking they might be cheaper than verizon who Id been with for 20yrs. I got the plan then my boyfriend needed a phone so I got him on the plan and a new phone. I upped my data on my plan after going over a few times. He lost his job and couldn't pay. I asked he be on his own plan he wouldn't do the switch. Two months later out of the blue I lost my job, my home my everything. My bill for AT&T was almost 500.00. My phone shut off before I could figure out a way to pay it. I'd always paid by auto pay before but when the boyfriend and I split up I didn't want his auto paid off my bank account. This wasn't the only thing going on in my life. I got on a plan with sprint and so I have a phone. I hate AT&T because they never reduced the data plan I was on like I asked them to when boyfriend split and to be honest we never really used 6GB of data like they said. I think all big carriers rip us
consumers off huge [Per Guidelines: Keep it Relevant and Appropriate].. When they shut down my account I was without a phone in an emergency. Yes I know they can know what I'm doing when they turn off my phone. But you'd think they'd offer smaller options to get service back up. And they charge a fee too. Another fee. A fee to turn on what they turned off. Rip off after rip off. I will pay at&t soon but like 25.00 a month is all I can pay. In mean time AT&T is expensive and no better than verizon with their fees and taxes. Verizon has better customer service though hands down. Let's see how sprint measures up
